Back to School Festival (Hempstead)

The Waller County Library TAB (Teen Advisory Board) will host a back to school festival on Tuesday, August 22nd from 10am-1pm. This event is sure to be fun for the entire family. There will be games and concessions as well as many opportunities to get wet!  The Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department will be on hand to make sure all attendees stay cool in this Texas Heat!

You can get presale wrist bands for $1. These wrist bands will allow you to participate in all games the TAB is creating. The day of wristbands will be $2.

The TAB is a group of students in the 6th-12th grades who volunteer at the library by organizing events for them and their peers. By being on the TAB these students have a voice in the library and it also allows them to express themselves in ways that positively benefit the entire community. This is a great way to get volunteer hours, have fun, and meet other teens.   This group meets once a month and is always looking for new members.

For more information on TAB or the carnival you can call the library at 979-826-7658.
